Covid  Statement

Dear West Union Junior High School Community (Grades 7th and 8th):

The Adams County Ohio Valley School District is committed to the health and safety of our students and staff.  We want to inform you that we have received information that some staff members at WUJHS (Grades 7th and 8th) have been quarantined for being a close contact to someone testing positive with COVID-19.

West Union Junior High School Grades 7th and 8th will be closed beginning Tuesday, October 27 through Thursday, November 5th.. Students Grades 7th and 8th will be back in regular session Friday, November 6th. 7th and 8th grade students will be expected to work online using the Google Classroom platform.

West Union High School (Grades 9-12) will remain OPEN.

If your child or anyone in the home would develop symptoms, please call your primary care provider.  If you do not have a primary care provider, please call the Adams County Health Department at (937) 544-5547.  If you have any questions, contact WUHS at 937-544-5553 or the Adams County Health Department. 

As a reminder:

  • Please do NOT send your child to school or practice when ill or feverish (even with cold, flu, or allergy symptoms).

  • Continue to wear masks when in public places, wash or sanitize hands frequently, and practice a six-foot social distance to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
