Now, we are on to the tournament. I want to thank everyone for being so flexible with all the changes due to the COVID rules. I also want to thank everyone for doing your part with sanitizing, wearing a mask, and social distancing. North Adams was able to finish our regular seasons in every fall sport. Most schools had games or meets canceled and were not able to find replacements or make them up. Our teams played all their games. A big thank you to the players, coaches, parents, boosters, and fans for everything you do for our sports teams!

This year, our FFA chapter is selling the following: Assorted nuts, Pineapples, Variety of apples , Variety of oranges, Grapefruits, Pears, Apple Cider, Orange Juice, Lemonade, Barbeque sauce If interested, contact any FFA member or Mr. Newman at john.newman@ovsd.us for any further information. The delivery date is December 3, 2020, this is when we get the fruit at the school and students are to deliver within a day or 2. All money and orders are due by November 12, 2020.

From the Athletic Director, Katie Ragan: The tournament brackets were released for boys soccer, girls soccer, and volleyball. All 3 teams received a first round bye, and will host a sectional final game. The sectional and district brackets are attached. Boys soccer - #4 seed We will host the winner of Eastern Brown and Southeastern on October 21 @ 5:00 for the sectional championship. Girls soccer - #4 seed We will host the winner of Zane Trace and Chesapeake on October 22 @ 5:00 for the sectional championship. Volleyball - #8 seed We will host Portsmouth West on October 24 @ 1:00 for the sectional championship.

I will let you know when we will be playing. The boys soccer tournament will start Saturday, October 17th. Spectator rules For volleyball games at Ripley and Whiteoak, the SHAC spectator rules apply (2 vouchers per athlete). I have not received anything about spectator limits at Northwest or Hillsboro. If I get something, I will pass it on. For the SHAC cross country meet, each athlete will be given 4 vouchers next week. You will need a voucher to attend.

Fayetteville will be livestreaming the games on the NFHS network. We get 4 vouchers per athlete. The JV girls soccer game at Clermont Northeastern has been canceled. It will not be rescheduled. The JV / Varsity volleyball games at Fairfield will start at 6:00. The game will be broadcast on C103. We get 2 vouchers per athlete.

The JH volleyball tournament is Thursday - Saturday of this week. The brackets are below. You will need a voucher to attend the games. Each athlete gets 4 vouchers. Both of our JH volleyball teams will play their first game on Thursday at Fayetteville beginning at 5:30 in the middle school gym.
