Due to the impending ice storm, the Adams County Ohio Valley School District will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, February 3, 2022.
In anticipation of the predicted weather, we have made plans for students to complete work in lieu of making up a snow day. Please read the letter for further explanation. This letter is also coming home today, 2/1/22, with students.
The Adams County Ohio Valley School District will be closed today, Friday, January 28, 2022, due to poor road conditions from overnight snowfall.

The Adams County Ohio Valley School District will be closed Wednesday, January 19, 2022, due to poor road conditions in some parts of the attendance area.
Thursday, January 13th will be an early dismissal day. Car pick ups will dismiss at 2:00 and bus riders will dismiss at approximately 2:15. Please make sure someone is home to get students off the bus since they will be earlier than usual.
Also, tomorrow, Wednesday, January 12th will be the last day that we will except diaper donations for the victims of the Western Kentucky tornadoes. Thank you to all that have donated and have a good evening.
The Adams County Ohio Valley School District will be closed tomorrow, Friday, January 7th. A decision about games, practices, and Friday evening activities will be made by noon tomorrow.
The Adams County Ohio Valley School District will have an early dismal, today Thursday, January 6, 2022, due to the incoming winter weather. High Schools will be dismissed at 11:30 AM and Elementary Schools will be dismissed at 12:30 PM. All afternoon/evening activities have been canceled.

This evening, the district Safety Coordinator, Mike Parker, made me aware of the rumor of the TiKTok challenge encouraging students to make violent threats toward schools on Friday, December 17th. To date, NO threats have been reported either regionally or locally.

Congratulations to Mrs. Wilburn's 2nd grade class! They collected the most pairs of socks for our Socktober Event! In 2nd place was Mr. Liming's class and in 3rd place was Mrs. Swayne's class. We collected a GRAND TOTAL of 1,592 pairs of socks that we will donate to the Adams County Homeless Shelter! Way to go North Adams Elementary!
