Registration is now open for this summer's Explorers Club here on the Edge of Appalachia Preserve System! Once again, we are welcoming students from grades 4 and up for fun and learning in nature. The deadline for the 2022 Free Summer Meal Delivery program is quickly approaching. Applications have been sent home with elementary students today. Eligible households with children ages 1 to 18 can receive meals delivered to their house weekly for 10 weeks this summer.
Send your completed application back to your school with all eligible children.
Deadline is April 20, 2022.

Day 1: Thursday, March 17, @12:00 - 3:00 PM OR
Day 2: Thursday, March 31, @ 4:00 - 7:00 PM
Children must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 30, 2022, to register for kindergarten
Bring the following documents to registration:
Proof of Residency - documentation of parent/ guardian's address (water bill, telephone bill, etc.)
Child's birth certificate
Shot Record
Custody papers (if applicable)
ALL students who register will receive a free t-shirt!

Yesterday, NAE celebrated the 100th day of school. Students enjoyed some fun activities involving the number 100. Pictured are students from Mrs. Horsley's class. The kids found 100 Kisses in the classroom, they counted 100 Legos and had to use all the pieces to build something and they made a hat with 10 colored strips of paper each with 10 items drawn on them to represent 100. They also counted to 100 several different ways and they started to write 100 words, but ran out of time! It was also "Joe Burrow" day at our school and students were encouraged to wear sunglasses because the future is bright!
The Ohio Valley School's District spelling bee is cancelled for Monday, Feb. 7. The reschedule date will be announced and contestants will be notified once the new date is confirmed.
