Our 6th grade Kindness Club started Kindness Week with a refreshing drink for staff! They made a poster for their drink cart that read: Winter weather is coming...Let's pretend we're at the BEACH! It had famous Sonic nugget ice and topical flavored drink packets to mix with their water.

Today Mrs. Young's sixth grade students participated along with students across the country in a Kick-off for Kindness! This fun-filled, energetic video presentation encouraged students to lead with compassion, empathy, and kindness while being inspired by NFL players' kindness stories, positive peer messages and encouragement to never give up on their dreams. Students wore their favorite team's jersey or gear to kick off this event in conjunction with Super Bowl weekend. Next Week NAES will host our annual Kindness Week. We have been issued the challenge to perform as many Random Acts of Kindness as possible to start a kindness chain that will last until the end of the school year. #kickoffforkindness

NAE Families- Due to illness within our school community, we will be canceling in-person classes on Monday, February 3, 2025. However, this will be considered a remote learning day. Teachers will be providing assignments and resources via Google Classroom, DOJO, Remind, classroom Facebook Pages, and any other social media platforms they use to communicate. Please note that there will be no live sessions for students to attend tomorrow. If you would have questions about assignments or resources, you may reach out to your child’s teacher from 9 AM to 2 PM. If your child needs a Chromebook, please feel free to stop by the office between 8 AM and 2 PM on Monday, February 3, 2025. If those hours will not work for you, please contact the office to work out an arrangement. Our office staff will be happy to assist you! We understand that this may cause some inconvenience, and we sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. Thank you for your continued support! Stay safe and healthy!

Today Kristy Watters brought incubators and eggs to our 3rd grade classrooms. Students will observe and document conditions in the incubator everyday including temperature and humidity. Today, students learned all of the parts of an egg, researched different habitats in order to compare those environments with the conditions of the incubator. Students will continue to conduct experiments and research until after 21 days, students will have baby chicks! Engaging ✔️ Hands-on✔️ Real-life experiences ✔️
