Attention Students and Parents:
Homecoming tickets for the dance tomorrow, January 31, 2025 are Pre-Sale only. There will be no tickets sold at the door. Tickets can be purchased from Mrs. Colvin in the Library during the student's lunch time.
West Union Jr/Sr High School will be sponsoring a Blood Drive on Thursday, January 30, 2025 from 8:30 AM - 1:30 PM. Hoxworth will be parked in the school parking lot. Appointments are encouraged!
The Adams County Ohio Valley School District will be closed on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. We delayed earlier today; however, after closely monitoring the weather a decision was made to close tomorrow for student safety. If able, students will complete work virtually as an online learning day.
Dear Parents and Guardians, This message is to share information regarding ACOVSD’s plans for virtual learning. If we miss school on Friday and next Monday, our school will transition to virtual learning starting on Monday, January 13th. To ensure that all students can participate in online classes via Google Classroom, it is essential that they have access to a device. If your child does not have a working device at home, we will be offering a Chromebook pickup at the school from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Thursday, January 9, 2025 and Friday, January 10, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. If one of these timeframes do not work for you, please reach out to one of the principals via email (mike.roades@ovsd.us, tad.mitchell@ovsd.us or rodney.wallace@ovsd.us) and we will schedule a time that will work for you. Our district will continue to monitor weather and road conditions over the weekend. In the event we are not in school on Monday, January 13, 2025, students will be participating in virtual learning through the Google Classroom platform. Upon returning to normal school operation, students will be required to return their Chromebook and charger if they received one from school. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we prepare for this possible shift to virtual learning. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

Nina worked 2 days on the driveway, sidewalk and porch and made an Igloo /Snow Angel with all her hard work.
Students! Important challenge from the Adams County/Ohio Valley School District's Superintendent! Build a snowman and be in the running to win a pizza party for your class! Once you build your snowman, take a picture of the snowman and email it to Mr. Roades (mike.roades@ovsd.us), Mr. Mitchell (tad.mitchell@ovsd.us) or Mr. Wallace (Rodney.wallace@ovsd.us). Your snowman will be posted to our website and the Board of Education will pick the winning snowman! Have fun and more importantly, please be safe!

Students is Ms.Baldwin's HS Health and 8th Grade Ag. Classes have been busy making Christmas Cards. They wanted to bring cheer this holiday season to the residents in Adams County Manor. We have some talented kiddos at our school!
Junior High students did a phenomenal job at the school-wide spelling bee this week! Top three participants (as well as two alternates) will represent the dragons at the district-wide spelling bee! Good luck!

Congratulations to the varsity Archery team for placing 1st and the JV Archery team placing 3rd in todays tournament at WUHS. Many students set new PR's! Great job all!
