3rd-grade students spent their social studies block exploring Mardi Gras and identifying changes over time. They enjoyed a Cafe Du Monde beignet, and then we took a Yay-or-Nay poll. Almost all students voted Yay; however, a few voted Nay.

This week our gym classes turned into the ultimate Winter Olympics Challenge! Students competed in bobsledding, curling, and ice hockey! Bringing teamwork, determination, and LOTS of energy to the court!
As an added bonus, Mrs. Williams brought in her real Olympic medals from 2003 when she competed in the Junior Olympics so students could get the full Olympic experience! 🥇

Tonight, Peebles Elementary proudly hosted this year’s District Spelling Bee!
We are so proud of all the contestants from each of our district buildings who earned their spot in the competition. Making it to the district level is an incredible accomplishment, and each student represented their school with confidence, determination, and poise.
1st Place- Annabelle Wallace, PHS
2nd Place- Asher Smith, WUES
3rd Place- Eli McCann, WUHS
Annabelle will be advancing to compete in the Brown County Spelling Bee in March.
