Hey, hey, hey, we've got an author on the way! Liam, in Mrs. Cronk's 3rd grade class, has recently added one of his books to our school library. Mrs. Jones is allowing other students to read his book and leave reviews for him. He has worked very hard through the rough draft, editing and final draft writing process! So far, the reviews have all been positive! Thanks for sharing your creativity, Liam! And thank you, Mrs. Jones, for encouraging other students to read it and leave reviews! We grow together!

Mrs. Applegate's science classes have started a unit focusing on the pumpkin. They are exploring the parts of the pumpkin and its life cycle. They will be comparing and contrasting the various phases of the pumpkin's life cycle, as well. Nothing gets students more motivated to learn than the 'hands on' approach!

Mrs. Applegate's 3rd grade students listened to the story Spaghetti in a Hot Dog Bun by Maria Dismondy. They discussed the importance of being kind to others and celebrating differences. They each enjoyed a hotdog bun with spaghetti. Most students really liked it, even though it isn't the traditional way we eat spaghetti. One class invited Mrs. Brewer to join in on the taste testing.
