A great day for recognition! 🎉These students earned PBIS certificates for demonstrating respectful, responsible, or safe behavior!

We love when students give back. Hunter donated books to his classroom because he knew his teacher loves to read and learn about new books. What a kind gesture!

Mrs. DeAtley's class has been learning about 3-D shapes. Hands-on learning is always fun!

Sports physicals will be offered to sixth grade students at the high school Wednesday, May 8. Paperwork will be sent home with students or available in the school office. Please return forms and payment to school by Friday, May 3.

This is a reminder that there is no school Monday for elementary students due to the solar eclipse. Staff report for PD and have an early dismissal.

3rd grade students are pictured here utilizing the new Studies Weekly Science curriculum. It contains SO many opportunities for hands-on learning.
Today's lab consisted of an exploration of the finch's beak. Student's used plastic tweezers as a replica of the beak. They had to determine which island the finch would be able to collect more food at, due to the size and shape of the beak.
Once completed, they added some math by determining the class averages and comparing that to their personal totals. They also determined which bird (student) would be considered the fittest using individual totals from each island total.
This was SO much fun!

3rd Grade students in Mrs. Applegate's Math Intervention group began working on Ohio State Test preparations. This week they worked on questions involving the various objectives connected to fractions. They enjoyed using fraction strips to defend and explain their reasoning.

Congratulations to Liana and Charlotte, our newest first grade Math Masters!
