Students in Ms. Beech's Science class were able to meet Kelly Landen. She moved to Botswana 20 years ago, and co-founded Elephants Without Borders with Dr. Mike Chase. It is a nonprofit conservation effort to save wild elephants. They can be seen on many BBC documentaries. She helped produce the Disney movie elephant, which can be seen on Disney+. She has written several children’s books, 3 of which are signed and will be going to be in our library

Congratulations for earning your AR certificates!
The Purple Hallway (2nd and 3rd Grade Students) hosted a building-wide Holiday Pet Food Drive for Homeward Bound Animal Rescue here in Peebles.
Last week our building collected a little over 334 pounds of food to give to the rescue.
Mrs. Duffey's 3rd grade class brought in the most pet food and they will be awarded a pizza party donated by Hometown Pizza and Redbird Ranch.
Thank you to all who sent in food for this much needed cause. It is appreciated by the owner/operator, Levi Turner. He has an amazing facility that helps our community help pets that need rescued.
Mrs. Brown's kindergarten students enjoyed their Polar Express Day! The day was complete with pajamas and stuffed animals as they enjoyed the movie together and completed some related learning activities!

completed activities, and gave them a craft to take home. They love their
monthly visit with her!
