📣 4th Quarter = Let’s Finish Strong!

As we begin the 4th quarter, it’s the perfect time for a fresh start and a renewed focus on attendance. Every single day in school matters for student learning, relationships, and future success.

📊 Did you know?
A student is considered chronically absent if they miss 10% of the school year—that’s just 2 days per month. Under Ohio law, all absences count (excused and unexcused).

🎯 STRIVE FOR 5 — Every Day Counts!
Students should miss no more than 5 days all year, if possible.

💡 How families can help:
✔️ Make daily attendance a priority
✔️ Call the school within 1 hour of the start of the day if your child is absent
✔️ Send a written note, email, or doctor’s slip when your child returns — NOTES are REQUIRED
✔️ If your family is planning a vacation during the school year, it must be approved by the building principal at least 1 week in advance
✔️ Reach out if challenges arise — we are here to help and support your family

📚 When students are here, they are learning, growing, and building their future. Let’s work together to make this final quarter our strongest yet!

This past Tuesday in Mrs. Kremin’s JH Science blocks was an Oreo kind of day! Our 7th graders used Oreos to model the phases of the moon, turning a tasty treat into a hands-on astronomy lesson. Meanwhile, our 8th graders dug into the movement of plate boundaries, exploring how Earth’s crust shifts and shapes our planet. Learning was yummy yet challenging —the best kind of science day! 😋 Post #2

OVCTC Open House Reminder

Current sophomores and families — don’t forget about the OVCTC Open House on Thursday, March 12 from 4:30–7:30 PM!

Come tour the building, meet instructors, and explore the programs that can help launch your future career.

With the Peebles Boys Basketball team advancing and playing that evening, we know many families will want to support them. Because of this, applications will be extended until Friday at midnight so every student still has the opportunity to apply.

If you can’t make the Open House but would like to visit the building or have questions, please call the CTC to schedule a time to come in.

Your future starts here — Pioneer Your Pathway!
