WUHS's Picture Day for grades 7-11 will be Tuesday, September 6
West Union High School Students!
Starting Tuesday, September 6th, you will have the option to purchase spirit wear in our building. The spirit shop is hosted in room B210. You can purchase grey or black t-shirts/hoodies and select from three designs that have been made by your fellow students. Stop by and place your order, then pick up your apparel the next day. We are the Dragons!!!
Due to a lack of substitute bus drivers, Route #64, driven by Heather Pollitt, will not run in the morning or afternoon for WUHS or WUES, on Thursday, September 1st.
Congratulations to the WUHS Boys soccer team. They defeated Wellston tonight 4-0.
Congratulations to the Girl's Team and Coach Marci Nehus for winning the County Cup. The following Dragons made the all county team: Payton Stapleton [2nd], Korynne Blanton [3rd], Lauren Hoop [5th], and Emily Stapleton [5th].

Congratulations to the junior high girls team today. They earned second place as a team! Lydia Armstrong, Stella Rhonemus and Ella Shupert were medalists today!
High school girls placed 3rd overall. Miley Smith earned a medal today.
Junior high boys all had times in between 12 minutes and the low 14 range, which is an awesome way to start! Braylon Scarborough was a medalist today.
Several high school boys had a PR today. Multiple returning runners had some of their best start of the season times too. All runners did an amazing job. Many showed great improvements in their times!

WUHS yearbooks are on sale
The Adams County Ohio Valley School District Board of Education will hold their Annual Federal Programs Meeting on Monday, August 22, 2022, from 5:45 p.m. at the Career & Technical Center located at 175 Lloyd Road, West Union, OH 45693. Following that meeting, the Board will hold its regularly scheduled meeting that will start at approximately 6 pm. Both meetings will be streamed on the District’s YouTube Channel https://youtu.be/hGVBbVZcYR8

1. Open House: Monday, August 15, 2022 from 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM
2. Supply lists are available on the West Union High School Website. The link
was sent out earlier in the week.
3. Student schedules are available in the office from 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM. You
can also get your schedules during Open House on Monday.
4. Final Forms are available to be completed now. Get a head start on these
prior to school starting.
5. First day for students is Wednesday, August 17, 2022. Doors open at
7:10 AM each morning. The school day begins at 7:30 AM and ends at
1:52 PM each day.

The WUHS OHSAA Fall Parent meeting will be held on August 15th in the round room at 6 pm. Parents are required by OHSAA policy to attend one of these meetings per year. At this meeting OHSAA, AC/OVSD, and WUHS policy will be reviewed and parents will have a chance to ask questions.
If a parent can not be with us on the 15th they do have the option of logging onto Final Forms, click on the link to watch the OHSAA video to fulfill the requirement.
Back to School Night for WUHS is scheduled for Monday, August 15, 2022 beginning at 3:00 PM and ending at 6:00 PM.
Soccer practice is from 5-7 pm on Monday thru Friday until school starts. New coach Tom Wuest would like to see you there. Please call him at 937 544-0237 if you have any questions or concerns.
