This is an important message from West Union High School:
When a student returns to school following any illness please make sure you have sent a DR note in with your child when applicable. Students will be checked by the nurse before returning to class. It is important that your child knows to report straight to the office to turn in their notes upon entering the building.
7th and 12th Grade Immunizations: All 7th and 12th grade students must have proof of immunizations on file prior to September 30, 2020 or they will be excluded from school until proof has been determined. It is important to note that excluded days are considered unexcused absences.

This is an important message from West Union High School Athletic Department. The Ohio High School Athletic Association requires guardians to attend one guardian meeting per school year. These are informational meetings that cover the requirements to be an athlete at West Union High School,
With our current situation regarding Covid-19 this meeting is being held virtually. Guardians may access this information on our Facebook page, or our school web-site. Guardians are required to view a video from Athletic Director Jason Little, as well as a video from OHSAA. Guardians will also have access to a reference sheet that provides important information found in both videos.
Once you have completed these three items you will need to access the sign off sheet stating that you have reviewed all this information.

As you are aware, masks have been mandated by the governor of Ohio. This is a requirement for attending school. If your child has no access to masks or family cannot obtain a mask, one will be provided to him/her upon entering school. If you refuse to comply with with mandate, unfortunately, we have no option but to request that you enroll in our district's Option 2 (Adams Virtual Academy or AVA.
If your child has an extenuating medical condition that prohibits him/her from wearing a mask, the doctor's statement indicating the medical reason Must be provided to the school and reviewed by the Adams County Health/Commissioner/Department for approval/validation. Only upon approval/validation, will your child then be excused from the mask mandate. Please keep in mind that by not wearing a mask, your child is considered at risk for airborne pathogens/germs. If you plan to provide medical documentation , please do so prior to the first of school as there must be time for submission to the Health Department for review and approval. Otherwise, your child will be required to wear the mask until the approval/validation is granted. The first day of school is Wednesday, August 19, 2020. This is an important message from West Union High School. If you are interested in enrolling in our Virtual Academy for the first semester of school there will be one last orientation Tuesday, August 18th at North Adams High School.
This orientation is critical as you will review the program (both high school and elementary), receive your chromebook, fill out forms required forms, etc.
We are asking that only one parent attend the meeting due to safety concerns. Students do not have to attend.
Again training will be Tuesday, August 18th at North Adams High School. Please attend one session either from 5:00-6:00pm or from 6:30-7:30pm.
