OVCTC Juniors in our Early Childhood Education program had a busy day Thursday as they spent the day at West Union Elementary. After hiding Easter eggs outside they delivered special letters from the Easter bunny that shared a message about teamwork and having fun. ECE students then led the fun outside making sure all students had fun and were safe. They ended the day delivering pizza and cupcakes to students in grade K-2. Thanks so much to the staff at WUES who provide such wonderful opportunities for our students to participate in.

On day one of the workshop, there was an introduction on the process with stunning, cleaning, skinning, and quartering a hog. On day two, the workshop reviewed the chilling process. Dr. Gacia also shared her knowledge on executing primal and retail cuts as well as the process for vacuum packaging the meat cuts.

Early Childhood Education Junior, Jade Shook, had a lot of fun in her fourth grade placement today. Students in Mrs. Beech's 4th grade class have been learning about fossils and made their own replicas using shells and dinosaurs. Jade was able to assist with the messy but fun activity. Our ECE students have the opportunity to see the lessons taught by teachers come to life and learn how making learning fun is very important in the classroom.
