Big things are happening at Peebles Elementary! We want to give a massive shout-out to The GRIT Project for being our very first partner to speak with our 6th grade Mission Middle School class. A huge thank you to Amy Queen, Matheau Reno, and Lisa Scott for sparking such incredible energy and curiosity in our students. Why We’re Excited: At PES, we know the transition from elementary to Jr./Sr. High is a milestone moment. We’re committed to making it meaningful by: • Starting Early: Giving 6th graders real-world career exposure before they even hit middle school. • Classroom Connections: Bringing the workforce directly to our students. • Community Partners: We’re just getting started! With Adams Rural Electric and Wallace-Thompson Funeral Homes already lined up, the future is looking bright for our kids. This is only the beginning of the journey for our Mission Middle School class. Keep an eye out for more updates as we continue to explore new horizons!

The results are in! Last week's attendance battle was fierce, but the following classes have moved on to the Final Four: Mrs. Roads, Mrs. Young, Mrs. Arnold, and Mrs. Davis.

Last week, one class won by less than a percentage point. Keep showing up, and let's see who advances to the finals.

We are thrilled to officially announce that Peebles Elementary School is one of only 109 schools across Ohio recognized as a Governor’s Science of Reading Champion School!

This designation celebrates our school’s proven commitment to providing every student with high-quality literacy instruction aligned with the Science of Reading. The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce established a set of criteria that schools must meet to earn this recognition, and we are proud that Peebles Elementary meets these high standards.

This recognition reflects a true school and community effort. Our teachers and staff have worked tirelessly to strengthen literacy instruction, our students have risen to the challenge, and our families have supported us every step of the way.

We are incredibly thankful for the encouragement and partnership of everyone who has been part of this journey as we continue working together to strengthen literacy instruction and build strong readers!

Peebles High School and Peebles Elementary will be on a 2-hour delay on Friday, March 13th, due to our basketball team playing in the Sweet Sixteen at 8:00 PM the night before.

Tomorrow we will also celebrate our team with a Walk of Champions at the elementary, and it will be School Spirit Day!

Show up and show out by wearing your Indian pride and school colors as we cheer on our team!

If you have any questions, please call the elementary office.

Good luck, Indians! We are proud of you and can’t wait to cheer you on as you take the court in the Sweet Sixteen!

📣 DID YOU KNOW?

💚 Strive for 5 — Healthy Students. Every Day Counts! 💚

Adams County Ohio Valley School District is proud to partner with ACRMC Family Medicine to provide onsite medical services at:

🏫 Peebles Elementary (937-587-2611)
🏫 North Adams Elementary (937-386-2516)
🏫 West Union Elementary (937-544-2951)

Through this partnership, students who become sick and visit the nurse’s station may be able to receive care right at school — helping them feel better faster and stay in class where they belong!

ACRMC providers can evaluate and treat a wide range of common concerns, including:

✔️ Coughs, colds, flu, and fever
✔️ Earaches and sore throat
✔️ Asthma and allergies
✔️ Headaches and rashes
✔️ Pink eye and skin irritations
✔️ Head lice

If your child does need to go home, you may already have a diagnosis and any needed prescription ready for pickup.

When students have access to care at school, families miss less work, students miss fewer days, and learning stays on track. That’s what Strive for 5 — Every Day Counts! is all about.

📝 Parents/guardians must complete registration and consent forms before services can be provided.

For more information about enrolling your child in ACRMC Family Medicine services at your child’s elementary school, please contact your building office.

Together, we’re removing barriers and keeping students learning today and leading tomorrow. 💛💚

Our future Class of 2039 is getting their start at Peoples Elementary! ❤️💙 Yesterday, we welcomed our first group of incoming kindergarteners for registration, and the excitement was contagious. Families stopped by to complete registration, meet our team, and take the first step toward an amazing school journey. These soon-to-be kindergarteners have officially signed their intent to become a Peoples Indian, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome them into our school family next year! 📝✨ We can’t wait to see the energy, curiosity, and big dreams the Class of 2039 will bring to Peoples Elementary. The future is bright! 🌟
