Our 3rd grade students attended a Test Prep Carnival. They were greeted with a carnival ticket and a snack of circus peanuts and regular peanuts as they entered. This ticket gave them entrance to math and language arts learning stations and carnival snacks. As they accurately completed various exhibits, they were given a prize ticket. They had the opportunity to collect as many as five tickets for the day. A drawing was held at the end of each block and 3 winners were chosen from each homeroom. They also enjoyed an afternoon treat of popcorn and shaved ice. It was quite an exciting day of learning! Thank you to the community members who donated the supplies and to Mariah, Kelly and Nikki (PTO) for helping us yesterday afternoon!

In Technology class, Mrs. Brown discussed Earth Day, the importance of caring for the Earth, and how our actions can affect wildlife. After a brief discussion, they virtually visited zoos in Houston, San Diego, and Maryland so that students could explore the fascinating world of wildlife from her classroom. Students were entertained, had their curiosity sparked, and they were able to appreciate the diversity of our planet.
