If you brought your kindergarten student in for his/her scheduled screening, they have now been added to a homeroom list. The kindergarten homeroom lists, along with the supply list, are posted on the front window of the office at PES.
Please remember that NO changes are made to lists; your assigned teacher will be reaching out in the next couple of days to schedule a one-on-one visit to the school prior to Wednesday of next week.

If your child(ren) are doing the Adams Virtual Academy (online, Option 2), don't forget to attend the orientation at PES on Thursday, August 13th, from 5-6 p.m. in the cafeteria.

If you have a child or children whom you plan to pick up after school at any given time during the school year, please complete the following document and then stop by our school office Monday-Friday, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. to pick up your copies of numbers. We recommend that if your child will be a pick up on the first day of school, that you do so prior to that date (August 19, 2020).
NOTE: Due to the elementary change in start and end times, pick-ups will be dismissed starting at 2:45 p.m. Parents will be in line no earlier than 2 p.m. and no later 2:40 p.m. to pick up.

If you are considering the virtual/online option for your child for the 2020-21 school year, please be sure to email PES Principal Amanda McFarland at amanda.mcfarland@ovsd.us for more information. We are recommending that ALL students who would like to go online, enroll PRIOR TO Wednesday, August 12th.
If your child(ren) has enrolled in Adams Virtual Academy (AVA) or will be enrolled by August 12th, there will be an orientation at each site to go over the program, distribute chromebooks, etc.
The orientation for ENROLLED Adams Virtual Academy students (AVA) will be Thursday, August 13th in the Peebles Elementary Cafeteria from 5:00-6:00 p.m. Please plan to attend if your child is enrolled in the online option by Wednesday, the 12th.

Congratulations to Ainsley Thompson, a 6th grade student at PES for earning her Honor Reader. The Honor Reader award is a part of the Accelerated Reader program. It is a popular reading program that is computer based. Schools use this program to monitor reading practice and progress. In order to become an Honor Reader a student must read, pass the Reading Practice Quizzes with 80% or higher, certify in previous levels, and accumulate 100 points for books on a list of challenging literature that a teacher creates. We are very proud of Ainsley for accomplishing this award and earning a total of 122.5 points. Ainsley is the daughter of Heather Smart and Eric Thompson.
