Parents/Guardians of PES Students grades 3-6:
If a PES student in grades 3-6 would like to join the Peebles Elementary Cross Country team, please see the following information. The plan is to have one (1) practice per week, which will be right after school. There are approximately 4-5 meets (the first being this Saturday, August 27 at 1 pm at Ripley HS). Parent or guardian is responsible for ALL transportation TO AND FROM practices and meets. The following waiver must be completed before participation: PES CC Waiver. Sign up by using “Remind”, which be used for ALL further communication. To do this, join the PESCrossCountry Remind group by texting @pescr to 81010, or by texting @pescr to (909)666-9535, or by clicking here. The first message will go out Wednesday night (which will announce Thursday’s practice).
David Vogler
PES Cross Country
NOTE: This is NOT a school affiliated sport, so PLEASE do NOT contact the front office with questions.

Per Mr. Seas and in working with Melissa Baker, transportation supervisor, regarding COVID-19, the need for assigned seats and tracing, the district is eliminating any student bus riders that are not scheduled trips. Examples: 1) Student wants to go home with another student and spend the night. NO. Why? Not a regularly scheduled trip. 2) Student wants to go to Mom's this week and Dad's next week (shared parenting). Usually, there is a court order noting that the student has shared parenting. YES. The trip should be scheduled. 3) Parents have a specific drop-off on Wednesday every (maybe grandparents' house)? Yes, but ONLY if it is consistent and scheduled every week that way and there is a note on file in the elementary office. We will NOT be able to accommodate trips to friends' houses, last minute changes in busing (even with a note), etc., if it is not a regular, weekly plan. Trips should be scheduled and routine.

Good morning!!!! First of all, thank you to all parents for helping yesterday go very smoothly! We had a great day and were so excited to have our kids back here at PES!!!
The only hiccup yesterday was the afternoon dismissal with regard to bus arrival times. So, we are making some slight adjustments to dismissal times for today in hopes that it will be better. Please understand that this is tentative as we are still working on bus timing, but this will hopefully decrease the gap of time that we experienced yesterday.
Starting today:
Announcements and Town Buses/Walkers Dismiss: 2:50 p.m.
Pick-ups called to the cafeteria: 2:55 p.m.
Pick-ups start dismissing to vehicles: 3:00 p.m.
Regular Bus Riders Dismiss: 3:25 p.m.
Thanks for your continued help and patience! And, thanks again for helping this year get off to a fantastic start!!!

Parents, if you haven't already filled out your child's forms for the 2020-2021 school year, please take a few moments to do so. Forms are needed for both in person and virtual students. Find the link and login information at https://bit.ly/2EfPMtk

Reminder: Peebles Elementary has a new arrival and dismissal time this year!!! The doors will open for students at 8:30 a.m. They will report to their homerooms for breakfast and the tardy bell will ring at 9:00 a.m.
For dismissal, pick-ups will dismiss first. Parents who are picking up need to have their numbers displayed in the window and cannot be lining up any earlier than 2:00 p.m. Pick-ups will start coming out to the cars at approximately 2:40-45 p.m. The early town bus will leave the elementary at approximately 3:05 p.m. and the regular bus riders will dismiss between 3:10-3:15 p.m.
Please bear with us, as these are approximate times until we see realistic arrival times for buses.
We are excited to have all of our kiddos back here tomorrow!!! Thank you for entrusting us with your most precious gifts!!!!

As you all are aware, masks (not face shields) have been state mandated by the governor of Ohio. This is a requirement for attending school. If your child has no access to masks or family cannot obtain a mask, one will be provided to him/her upon entering the school.
If you refuse to comply with this mandate, unfortunately, we have no option but to request that you enroll in our district's Option 2 (Adams Virtual Academy or AVA).
If your child has an extenuating medical condition that prohibits him/her from wearing a mask, the doctor's statement indicating the medical reason MUST be provided to the school and reviewed by the Adams County Health Commissioner/Department for approval/validation. Only upon approval/validation, will your child then be excused from the mask mandate. Please keep in mind that by not wearing a mask, your child is considered at risk for airborne pathogens/germs.
If you plan to provide medical documentation, please do so prior to the first day of school as there must be time for submission to the Health Department for review and approval. Otherwise, your child will be required to wear the mask until the approval/validation is granted. The first day of school is Wednesday, August 19th.

All forms for students are to be completed online this year. Please use this link if your child is a returning student from last year to update your child's information online. We will not be sending home paper copies of enrollment forms, emergency medical forms, etc. They are all included in this online update.
