We continue to monitor our attendance rates. Please remember that students and staff should stay home for at least 24 hours after a fever stops. Hand washing, covering sneezes and coughs, etc. are also good practices to use when trying to avoid getting, and spreading the flu.

Reminder there will be an early dismissal tomorrow 1/16 at 1:10 p.m. No school Monday Jan. 23rd in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. day and grade cards will come home next Thursday January 23rd.

2nd Grade Response to Literature Dioramas
Our lost & found is overflowing. If your child's coat or lunchbox has been left at school, please have them check the lost & found. Items with names will be returned to the owner. Unclaimed items will be disposed after January 8th.
Mrs. Fenton's class has become pen pals with a Sgt. Chris Dunlap from Peebles who is stationed overseas. For the past month they have been writing letters, coloring pictures and collecting items for a care package.
WUES is proud to offer a comfort cabinet opening in January! Students will be able to discreetly access personal hygiene items as needed. We would like to thank both the teacher responsible for spearheading this project and the community sponsors for the financing.
Formal dinners and movies highlighted studenta last day before Christmas Break.
6th Grade students collected and wrapped over 45 toys to donate to the Adams County Homeless Shelter to distribute to families in need in our community!
