The deadline for the 2022 Free Summer Meal Delivery program is quickly approaching. Applications have been sent home with elementary students today. Eligible households with children ages 1 to 18 can receive meals delivered to their house weekly for 10 weeks this summer. Send your completed application back to your school with all eligible children. Deadline is April 20, 2022. For more information or to get an application, visit https://www.abcap.net/

Hello everyone, Just a few reminders!! State Testing is off to a great start. Please make sure your children get plenty of rest tonight so they are ready for tomorrow's tests. The Dragon Pride Dinner drawing will take place on Saturday April 9th starting at 2 pm. You can watch the drawing live on the WUHS Facebook page. Dinners can be picked up from 6 to 7:30 pm at the high school along with any winnings from the drawing. If you have not purchased your ticket yet or want to purchase an additional ticket there are still a few available for purchase. Parents and Guardians, certain Junior and Seniors have earned an incentive for passing all of their End of Course Exams. These students have been notified by the school. On the dates listed below, your child may report to the school by 9:45 am because all the remaining students in the building will be testing on those dates. Alternate transportation will not be provided, so you must arrange for your child to arrive at school by 9:45 am. Those students who have earned the incentive but still arrive at 7:40 am, will get to watch a movie and are allowed to bring their own snacks and drinks. This past weekend on Saturday, the West Union JH and HS Archery Teams participated in the Ohio State NASP Championship tournament held in Columbus. Many of these students had set new PR’s during this tournament. Congratulations to all! The All County Arts Festival will be on March 23rd at West Union High School. The art show will open to the public at 5:30 with the band and choir concert starting at 7 pm.

Have you purchased your Dragon Pride Ticket yet? The 17th annual Dragon Pride Dinner will be held on April 9th at WUHS. The drawing will be held live at 2 pm on Facebook and dinners can be picked up between 6-7:30 pm along with any winnings. Cash prizes totaling $12,600 will be given out with a grand price of $8000. All proceeds from the dinner will be split between the WUHS Athletic and Performing Arts Boosters. Tickets cost $100 each. Only 300 tickets will be sold. If you purchase the ticket by March 16th you will be entered into the Early Bird Drawing for an extra chance to win $300.

Prom tickets are now on sale for juniors and seniors! Students can get their tickets in the library starting at $50 on Feb. 25th. On March 21st the price will be raised to $60, and on April 10th they will be $75. All events pertaining to the dance will be held at The Willow Event Center. The theme for prom is Hollywood, so come watch them walk the red carpet at the Grand march at 6:15 and the dance will follow at 7:00 on April 23rd, 2022. Thank you, and have a great evening.

Tonight was Pee Wee night at WUHS. WUHS is very proud of all their young Dragons. We would like to thanks are the coaches and parents that volunteer their time to give our future generation a chance to play basketball or cheer on their teams. WUHS would like to thank Vicki Mason for organizing the event and Kevin Cooper for announcing all the teams. Good luck to all the team in their upcoming tournaments.
