
The Adams County Ohio Valley School District Board of Education will hold a Special Board Meeting - Organizational Meeting to be held on Thursday, January 7, 2020@ 5:00pm. This meeting will be held Virtually.

Upon review of the Adams County School/Community, staffing needs, student needs, and discussions with Dr. Hablitzel, the Adams County Ohio Valley School District will resume in-person school on Thursday, December 10th. We welcome our students back!


Due to the current situation our CCP Meeting on Thursday December 3, 2020 has been cancelled at this time. When we have a reschedule date we will communicate that date. Thank you for your time and energy in regards to your his email.


Due to poor road conditions, mainly on our side roads, the Adams County Ohio Valley School District will be closed today, December 1st, 2020. Staff does not report and there will be no virtual classes today.


Save the Date—December 3,2020 at 6pm their will be a mandatory College Credit Plus (CCP) meeting at WUHS. Any student who is interested in earning CCP credit next year, on or off campus must attend this meeting with at least 1 guardian. This Saturday, 11.7.2020, WUHS will be hosting the 2020 COVID Cheerleading Showdown (Representing our SHAC Schools)
Showdown Plans are listed below, please understand that due to COVID many restrictions are in place:
Start time - 12pm; schools may start arriving around 11am
1. Unfortunately, no fans will be allowed to enter to watch the competition, each routine will be Facebook Live Streamed at their competition time.
2. Only limited event staff, judges, cheerleaders and coaches will be allowed inside the building.
3. Temperature checks will occur as athletes enter the building. Any checking positive for a temperature will not be allowed to enter the building.
4. Cheerleaders will enter as a team through the 6 way doors, at their designated warm up time. Following their performance teams will exit the building out back hallway doors.
5. Masks must be worn at all times except in warm up and while performing.
6. Teams will warm up on the mats in the cafeteria and the performance will be on the mats in the gymnasium. Jr. High Cheerleaders will be able to watch their Varsity team and vice/versa...Both JH and HS teams need to enter the building at the teams designated warm up time.
7. Mats will be sanitized between teams.
8. Teams will need to show up in uniform ready to perform as rooms will not be assigned to teams. Teams do not have to show up until it’s closer to their warmup time. Warm up times will not be delayed if a team is not present for their designated time.
*** You are welcome to have your teams bring tents, chairs, blankets, coolers, etc... Each Team will have their own designated area in the bus parking lot area. We will space the buses accordingly, allowing an equal amount of space between them to serve as your team's area to do as they please. The cheerleaders will be allowed to walk around the campus, visit parents who may come to watch their kids on Facebook and be there for the awards ceremonies. Reminder, wear facemasks at all times and practice social distancing.
9. Concessions - Unfortunately due to COVID we will be unable to host concessions. We ask that teams bring their own snacks/drinks or you may order from the various restaurants in town that deliver.
10. Restrooms - We will have someone at the 6 way doors to allow athletes/guests, six at a time to use the restrooms. (3 men, 3 women at a time)
