The Adams County Ohio Valley Schools will conduct Kindergarten Registration for the upcoming school year. If you have a child that is five years old on or before August 1, 2025, please mark your calendar and plan to attend kindergarten registration at the elementary school your child will be attending. All three elementary schools (North Adams Elementary, Peebles Elementary, and West Union Elementary) will conduct kindergarten registration on the following dates: Thursday, March 6, 12:00-7:00 PM or Thursday, March 13, 3:00-6:00 PM A parent or guardian will need to bring the following documents to kindergarten registration:  Proof of Residency - documentation of parent/guardian’s address (water bill, telephone bill, etc.) A driver’s license is not acceptable proof of residency.  Child’s Birth Certificate  Shot Record  Custody Papers (if applicable) It is important to register in March and plan for the upcoming school year. Please plan to attend kindergarten registration on Thursday, March 6, 12:00 – 7:00 PM or Thursday, March 13, 3:00 – 6:00 PM. All students who register will receive a free t-shirt. We are excited to meet the class of 2028!

West Union Elementary is excited to offer students the opportunity to sign up for elective classes for the 2025-2026 school year! Each student is required to select one class in Fine Arts, one in Physical Education, and one in Technology. Additionally, they may choose up to 12 other elective classes. Course availability will be determined by student demand. Book Fair: The book fair will be held next week. Kindergarten through 3rd grade will visit during their library encore. o 4th grade: Monday o 5th grade: Tuesday o 6th grade: Wednesday Thursday and Friday will be make-up days. 3. STEM Night: On Tuesday, March 4th, from 6:00-8:00 PM, we’ll host our annual STEM Night. We have many exciting activities planned, and we look forward to seeing students and their families. March 6th will be PT conferences. 3. The book fair will be March 3rd - 7th. It will also be open during STEAM night and PT conferences. 4. Students who will be in grades 3rd - 6th during the 2025-2026 school year will be able to sign up for their elective classes during STEAM night and PT conferences. This will allow parents to provide input on the classes their children take. 5. School WILL BE in session on March 7th for all students. This was supposed to be an in-service day but the in-service day has been moved to May 6th. 6. February 28th is the final date that students can sign up for 3V3 soccer. Erica shared her experiences as a school nurse, as well as her previous roles in nursing. She encouraged students to study hard and pursue their goals in the field.

Ryen Shiveley of Family Traditions Animal Adventure spoke to the Service Careers class on Friday, sharing his passion for animals and the many responsibilities involved in running his own zoo. He encouraged students to research and follow up on the animals he discussed. Ryen is a perfect example of someone who is making his dreams come true.
