The STEM club ended the year with an exciting visit from Family Traditions last week. The students were thrilled with getting to get up close and personal with the animals.

Fantastic job for all of the 5th and 6th grade band students who participated in the 2nd Annual Honor Band at Peebles High School!



Shoutout to our Ag students who presented to the Facilities and Transportation Committee on Friday! They broke down the pros and cons of robotic mowers and shared which ones they thought would work best. Awesome job showing off your research and overcoming your apprehension of public speaking.

Mrs. Foster and students from the Culinary Arts program at the Ohio Valley Career and Technical Center provided students with a hands on and tasty experience in the Service Careers Class today.

David Riley from General Electric spoke to the students in the aeronautics careers class on Thursday. He shared his role in supervising other engineers and highlighted many career opportunities available to students at General Electric

Carlee Coffman, Nicki Brown, and Misty Taylor shared with the students in the medical class the various roles nurses can perform. The students were surprised to learn that nurses are needed in schools, jails, and even work with lawyers.

Assistant Superintendent Greg Grooms spoke about his various roles. Students provided valuable feedback during the discussion on food services and asked many questions about how he ensures staff are qualified for their positions.

Brittany Hayslip from Procter & Gamble spoke about the career of a toxicologist. She explained her role in ensuring that toothbrushes and toothpaste are safe for us to use. Just an example of another career that students did not know existed.

Thanks to a generous donation from the Adams County Community Foundation, every student in Pre-K through 2nd grade will receive a free book in celebration of Read Across America Week. We appreciate your support in fostering a love of reading among our students.

Jessica Huxman read "Dragons Love Tacos" to Mrs. Holsinger's 5th grade class on Wednesday. Her daughter was able to share information about her Bearded Dragon "Nomy" with her classmates!
