
7th Grade Math Quiz is scheduled for tomorrow, Friday, September 20, 2024!


CCP Night is November 20, 2024 @ 6:00 PM in the Round Room at West Union High School. All students grades 7-11 that would like to participate in CCP Program for the 2024-2025 School Year MUST attend this meeting with at least one parent/guardian. There will be representatives from Southern State Community College and Shawnee State University at the meeting to discuss all aspects of the program and how it pertains to their institution. See Mr. Grooms, Guidance Counselor, if you have any questions.


For West Union Town route bus riders:
Starting on Tuesday, September 3rd, there will be some changes to the town routes in West Union.
For High School students, morning pickups will be by bus 33 for all 4 town stops, pickup times between 7:10-7:20am.
The afternoon route will be on bus 52, with drop off between 2:15-2:25pm, at all town stops.
The town stops are: Old Hospital, Old School Lot, McHenry Lot, NSide Church
There may be a 5-10 minute fluctuations due to traffic, ect.

West Union High School Town Stops are as follows - these will be the ONLY town stops available.
AM Pick Up - 7:10-7:20 AM - All town stops
PM Drop Off - 2:10-2:20 PM - All town stops
McHenry Lot (across the street from the Post Office / Sheriff's Lot - If you got on at the Boyd & Poplar stop you should go to this stop)
NorthSide Church - (North Street)
Old School Lot - (West South Street - If you got on at the Presb. Church you should go to this stop)
Old Hospital- (North Wilson Drive)

A huge congratulations to Mr. Carl Schneider for being inducted into the Ohio High School Golf Coaches Hall of Fame. Mr. Schneider has coached golf for WUHS for 22 years. Some of his accomplishments include: 19 SHAC wins, 9 Sectional Championships, 25 District Team Qualifiers, 4 District Champion Teams, 6 State Golf Teams, and 3 Individual State Qualifiers. Congratulations to Mr. Schneider on this great accomplishment.


The ACOVSD has collaborated with Adams County Workforce Development we are excited to announce a joint Trade Expo on Thursday, May 9th from 3-6 pm at the Adams County Training and Business Center, located at 107 E. Walnut Street, West Union, OH, formerly the IGA store. At this event, you will learn about the range of jobs and careers available to you and your family in the building trades. Attendees can register to win gift cards for use at local businesses. Many Juniors and Seniors visited during the day and they are welcome to attend the evening session to gather additional information.


Reminder that tomorrow, ACOVSD will be implementing a new cafeteria cashier and payment system. The system is now live and students can be added to your account, if you have already created it. 6th Grade Parents:
6th Grade students will be touring the High School on Monday, May 6th. They will meet their 7th grade teachers, listen to a presentation on the extra-curricular opportunities at the high school and will take a tour of the building. A newsletter will be given to them on Monday that has the Supply Lists for next year as well as the Building Expectations and Information about each of their teachers. Please review the newsletter with your child on Monday evening.


Sports physicals will be offered to sixth grade students at the high school Monday, May 6. Paperwork will be sent home with students or can be picked up in the office. Please return forms and payment to the school office by Wednesday, May 1.


The West Union High School Performing Arts Department is putting on the School of Rock Musical April 26th, 27th, May 3rd and 4th at 7:00pm and May 5th at 3:00pm. Tickets are on sale at the school during the hours of 7:00am-9:00pm. Please call the school at (937) 544-5553 or stop in and visit Mr. Nehus or Mr. VanPelt to reserve your places. Tickets are $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for students. We hope everyone can come and support these students and see all of their hard work they have been putting in for the last couple of months.
